Hi Sphinx
I don't know whether you heard, but Denmark has a law now, that prohibits Marmite and Vegemite from sale, due to the added vitamins in them.
see: HERE

Lucky you're not living there!

BTW, this sounds scrummy, to me!

hi, bob. yes, i did hear about the banning of marmite in denmark. sounds crazy to me... vit.b is water soluble, so it will flush out of the body pretty quickly, and as far as the salt goes, i think you would have to be eating marmite by the jar!

when the kids were small, this used to be a regular saturday lunch for us, i don't make it much any more because the fat content is on the high side. it is very versatile - you can top it with just about anything (bacon, tomatoes, asparagus) - and if you're danish you can even leave out the marmite! It still tastes good.
